[2/8/17] Draught at Rockaway Brewing in New York City. Golden. Malt, grainy, vegetal note, sweetish. Not really an ESB.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruit, no pineapple or ham alas, kind of bitter and dry. Not too juicy. Pretty good, not great.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: pours cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is lemon, melon, and wheat. Taste is very dry and lemony without getting soapy. Easy and kind of unique.

Can 1 pint, Named "Original ESB" at 6.4%. Pours golden with tiny impurities and an almost absent head. Appears fairly British in aroma, with nuts and caramel and what seem like British style hops as well. Rich malty and fruity body, quite sweet with not really enough hops to balance out all the good malts. 031016

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy orange with medium creamy off white head that lasts. The aroma is toasted malt and faint smoke. Thin mouth, light cream, smoke, wheat, light finish, good.
