--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Hazy mahogany colour, small head. Caramelly nose with pecan and chocolate. Very sweet with full body and sticky mouthfeel. Raw and syrupy with coconut and caramel. Warming sticky finish. Behold the pastry barleywine.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Copper colour, small white head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, fudge, some mild rye and mild nutty tones to it. Flavour is chocolate, some rye, toffee and some mild spiciness with a bit of alcohol sweetness.

23/11/2024. Bottle from Beerdome online. Pours thick black with minimal head. Aroma is rich dark chocolate, chocolate truffle, maple syrup, toffee, banana, cocoa, pecan pie. Quite sweet with moderate roasted bitterness. Full bodied, super smooth, soft carbonation. Extremely drinkable.
