For an African beer, it is ok. The body is yellow, white foam, average carbonation, malty, some hop and refreshing during the summer, 18.04.16

Can from EBI Intercontinental Foods, Woking. Dark cola brown. Opaque. Thin foamy dark beige head. Aroma is sweetvdnd malty. Creamy caramel with a slightly berry edge. Sweet. Very much do. As per the aroma, there's a slightly sour berry edge. Medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Flat carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Nice enough for what it is.

I was surprised to find this beer at the nearest HEB in their singles rack. My first Nigerian beer, unquestionably, and it comes in a 15.21 oz bottle, also a first. The pour is a clear, shiny gold, a fairly steady cover of absolutely white foam and an exuberant carbonation. I smell corn and grain. The taste is a bit out there but tolerable. Grain, cardboard, maybe a touch of citrus and water. For the style, I have had some better and I have had some worse. Nuff said.

Bottle from Sainsbury's. Bought to get my first tick in the malt beer style. Dark brown with a vanishing beige head. This tastes of sweet chocolatey rye bread throughout. Which I like! It does get a little syrupy by the end, but the light to middlng fizz helps to cut through that a bit. I think more than one bottle would be a bit too much due to the sweetness, but if I was just having one drink & foregoing alcohol I'd probably choose this over a non-alcoholic beer. I really enjoyed it, and would be happy to have it again - especially given the very low price! Thanks Brewver for giving me a reason to try this style - I'll have to track down some more malt beers (Supermalt next, maybe?).

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma is veg, garlic, herbal and corn. The herbal element comes through on the taste and not really a lot else. Quite a dry finish and watery.
