Description
Brewing in freedom. Young and locally oriented nano brewery. Brewing small batches we developed 20+ delicious beers over the last 4 years. At the end of 2015 we opened up our brewpub 'Café Rad van Wageningen' where we serve our locally produced beers plus some samples of other beers. For non beer drinkers we have a modest list of (good dutch) wines, stronger liquors and many other beverages. Don't forget the crafty pubmeals on friday or saturday. (Local Dutch brewer with description in English; because in the city of Wageningen we have lot's of foreign customers)

Draft at Rad van Wageningen day before second (partial) lockdown. Color: Clear brown. Taste: Didn't make many notes because I was talking with one of the founders/brewers. I liked the floral and grassy hopbitterness. Malty background. Over moderate bitterness, Quite nice.

Clear brown colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour are dominated by old skunky hops. A touch of wet dog too. Stale tasting. I can't imagine this was the intention.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy orangish golden, white head. Aroma: Malty, fruity and hoppy hints. Taste: Malty, over moderate sweet, sugary, some honey, herbal and floral hints, subtle citrus fruit notes. Moderate bitterness. Mwah. Not my kind of beer. A bit too sweet for me, although I quite like the hoppy background.

Tap at De Rat, Utrecht. Near clear golden with white head. Sweet and dry malts, soft spices. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Simple and plain but a nice basic beer feeling with a good bitterness. --- Beer merged from original tick of Wageningse Egel on 09 Oct 2019 at 19:26 - Score: . Tap. Golden blonde. Floral, slightly herbal aroma with citrus. Malty, dry, hint of chloride. Estery, citrus. Seems more like a well hopped saison to me.
