Courtesy of Edo - bierkoning, ty. Dark brown color, small tan head. Strong nice aroma of licorice, toasted malts and prunes. Good malty body. Caramelly with dark fruits like prunes and date, some licorice. This is vintage 2007, over a year old, no alcohol in the taste. Very nice dessert beer.

Bottle, thx to Maria. It pours a well-carbonated, reddish copper body with a nice, dense, creamy beige head. Itβs slightly sourish on the nose, with caramel sweetness and soy sauce. Sweet, malty and roasted flavor, more or less sugary sweet, with a little spicy touch and some sourness in the background. Full-bodied, fizzy, warming and a bit sticky. The finish is sweet and lasting. Quite nice one, even though itβs not the most true to styke stout Iβve had. (080412)

Bottle @ Thisted Tasting by Maria.. Clear light to medium red brown color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee, brown sugar. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (120408)

Bottle, 8.5%. Citric, metallic aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour, sparkling. Small light brown head. The flavour is quite malty with some yeast. Very malty, sugary, brown sugar, burnt sugar. Roasted, sour aftertaste. High carbonation, swelling mouthfeel. Not so complex. The sourness puts me off a bit. The beer improves after breathing for a good while.

Bottle, BB 2006. Oxidized aroma. Almost totally black colour, red shine. Very small light brown head. Nice, powerful flavour, sweet and pruney, dried fruit, pepper. The flavour is fortunately enough to overpower the oxidized notes. OK fruity, appleish aftertaste.

A hazy orange beer with a white head. The aroma is light, but what is there is sweet and primarily yeasty. The flavor is malty with notes of oranges, leading to a dry end.

An unclear amber beer with a small white head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of berries - which matches the flavor pretty much.
