12 oz. can from HEB in Boerne, TX. Pours a crystal clear pale yellow color with a large white head and excellent retention. Lots of streaming bubbles. Very good lacing. Standard pale malt beer aroma. Tastes like a basic pale lager from B/M/C, but with less grainy notes, and not over carbonated. Medium-light body. Not bitter. Clean and smooth. A craft macro lager.

6 October 2022. At The Dooryard, San Antonio. Shared with the lovely Anke!
A: cloudy black, thin, beige head.
A: amaretto, mocha, gingerbread, cinnamon, vague medicine.
T: sweet chocolate cake, spices and softly bitter mocha.
F: herbal & peppery hops, bit roasted, warming amaretto-like alcohol.
P: medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
Good! Enough balancing bitterness and roastiness in this Pastry Stout.

Nitro version. 12 oz. can from HEB, Boerne, TX. Pours a super dark brown color with a small, fine beige head and good retention. No lacing. No real nitro action. As advertised, chocolate and peanut butter aroma. The taste follows the nose. The dark chocolate flavor is dominant with the peanut butter notes playing a support role. Initially sweet with a bittering finish. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Tasty indeed, but a little more carbonation would be better.

12 oz. can from HEB in Boerne, TX. Pours a crystal clear bronze color with a thick khaki head and great retention. Great lacing too. Dark rum and brown sugar aroma. The taste follows the nose. Sweet brown sugar, maple syrup and boozy rum flavors. It does not taste like a cream ale but it does taste similar to a bananas foster. A little too boozy for my palate. Medium body. Slick mouthfeel. Low carbonation and low bitterness.
