This IPA poured a cloudy, light yellow colour with a creamy, bright white head. Medium lacing. Scents include alcohol, spice, light nail polish remover and perfume. First swig was watery but flavourful. Quite flat, with flavours of black olives, light wiener water and spices. Finish is light, with flavours of alcohol and clove flavours lingering.

Pours a clean golden colour with a little orange hue. Slightly warm white cap, bubbly with decent retention and some soft, tiny foam spots. Beautiful active carbonation. Citrus, zest nose over caramel malts, cereal notes and hints of honey. The bitterness starts off lightly, but creates some nice dryness in the end. Yet, a smooth, almost silky mouthfeel. Flavours of mild citrus and milder honey with grass in the finish. Gets hazier as it pours. A very nice APA that is not too bitter like new school ones, but enough to add bite, unlike old school ones.

Pours a slight hazy, light golden-yellow colour with bubbly off-white head, average retention and some mild lacing. Citrus nose of hops with some tropical fruit sweetness and hints of peaches, pineapples. Flavours of the fruitiness and grassiness, but all milder as an APA, not a juicy IPA. Lighter in alcohol as well, so a nice decent juicy lighter ale.

I really like Year One last year, so this looks promising (as I am not a big sour beer kind of guy). Beautifully blended again. Hazy, red-amber with a frothy-creamy pinkish head, decent stay and thick lacing. Aromas are a mix of the balsamic-red wine vinegars and the fruits (mostly cherries). The taste represents the same, but also not so sour in your face. Better balanced with the cherries coming through in the finish. The currant beer had the fruit too low, so not getting much from that one. As one beer, quite well-brewed. Happy second anniversary !

Can that pours a clean amber colour with an off-white head, leaving some dirty lacing. Aromas of dark malts like rye giving some spiciness with caramel notes and other grains. Cereal grain taste as well with less caramel sweetness, balanced with the hops giving enough dryness and bitterness. This does show the cereal darker grains of an altbier, and the Steam style, all in an easier drinking amber ale. All blended with the hops, this is pretty good.

Blend 61, packaged DEC 12 18. Pours a clean golden colour with a fizzy white cap that actually has a longer stay than expected. Wow! There is so much going on in the aromas. Saison base with the citrus notes, some fruitiness and leafiness from the raspberry leafs. Very nice herbal scents as well adding some spiciness. Some sourness in the flavours with the light bitterness in the finish. Gets hazier and hazier as it pours from the 750ml bottle. This is quite the complex brew. Very, very nice.

Pours a slight hazy ruby-reddish colour with a fizzy pinkish head, decent stay compared to their other barrel aged sour gold beers. Some bubbles stick a-round the rim, and here and there on top. Did not know about these haskap berries, but berries is what takes control in the nose over the sour base. The taste shows the sourness with the berries being more in the background this time. Woody notes, tart and tannins sticks to the tongue. Just a little bit. Wish the berries were just a tad stronger in the taste.

Enjoyed at Taproom 260, right before everything closed down for Covid-19. Hazy brown colour with a frothy coffee-coloured looking head, good retention and some spotted lacing. Aromas of chocolate, caramel malts and hints of salt, vanilla. The taste features the chocolate malts with the salt a tad stronger, but some bitter hops in the finish, blending the vanilla. The mouthfeel gets quite dry. Interesting, as more bitter for a Beau's, especially for this style. Something I would expect more from Beyond the Pale. This makes this one more drinkable, than the richness and sweetness expected.

Pours a light-hazed red colour with a ruby hue. The head is pinkish, fizzy, leaving quickly but leaving a thin bubbly coating on top. Big vinegar nose with red wine and balsamic ones. Hints of currant. The taste reflects the same with the sour vinous flavours and the currant fruit lingering. A little tart, but not much. This is a good aged sour beer with a mild touch of currant, if you are into this.

750ml bottle that pours a hazy, light-golden colour with a big frothy, almost creamy white cap, good stay and some foamy lacing. I do love that the El Dorado hops cover up the Brett earthiness a little. It is the same in the taste, with a hoppy grassiness over the wild yeast. The barrel does not give out as much vanilla like others, but seems to calm the Brettiness. I do like this beer, as it seems to use the hop in the right way. Different, hoppy, not too earthy and dry enough. Well brewed !
