330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and minimally late awakening, small to average, creamy, slowly diminishing, moderately lacing, beige head. Slightly alcoholic, minimally nutty and toasty, caramel malty aroma, hints of toffee, a touch of Bourbon, some coffee. Taste is roasty, slightly nutty, dark malty, slightly alcoholic, hints of coffee, some roasty bitterness, a touch of burnt caramel.
Slightly oily texture, smooth, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation.
Rather boozy, imbalanced - not fully convincing.

Bottle 33cl. from AH XL Muiden @home poured into a tulip glass. Hazy medium golden colour, good frothy white head, fair retention and lacing. Aroma sweet malt, grain, apricot, yeast, coriander, cloves, pepper. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grain, yeast, some honey, spices. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, despite spicy character well-balanced (no overkill imo), makes it interesting, not a middle of the road tripel, very nice.
