Glad to finally try a kvass and it be from a solid wild brewery (no offense hollywood brewing), light and sweet, slight rye and lemony notes, slight brett nose, light mouthfeel, fun style. Was a bit lively when I opened it too.

750ml bottle from Tavour. Opens with a small gush, hazy golden, foamy head subsides to a thin ring. Fruity brett aroma. Taste is apples, pears, minor tart notes. Really nice

Capped 750 from Tavour. Pours gold with a nice white head that didn't last very long. Brett is the first aromatic impression. Orval comes to mind. Aroma is Brett/pear/earth. Med body. Very luscious texture. Dry. Flavor is Brett. Not getting lacto or pedio - thank the stars. It's earthy, pear and a citrus note. It's luscious. It's .... Words escape me. It's great ale. Truly.

Bottle. Pours a near clear straw yellow with a white head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma has a funky grass and lights straw note with a hint of lemon and a bit of earthy flora underlying. Flavor has light lemon throughout with a really nice light funk, some grass and a bit of straw underlying.

Mad lemony hops and earthy finish, sweet tart crisp and brilliant.

2025 Mar 22, Batch 4, Doggo photo replacement! Also get a more dank hoppy nose, but still dominated by lemony hop flavors and an earthy finish.

20250719 still agree but +.20 for delish.

12.7 oz. bottle. Batch No. 1. Bottled April 2020. When not in the light the color is a glowing hazy yellow. Aroma of lemon peel, soft Brettanomyces, soft herb. Flavor is a slightly bolder reflection of the aroma. Dry texture and effervescent. This is proper!

Personal note: Fair Isle is my 1,500 brewery sampled. 10 years of taking notes on beer. I am still here!!!

Capped 12.7 oz from Tavour. Batch No. One / Bottled April 2020. Pours near perry color with a nice creamy white head. Aroma is earthy and has mixed bacterial notes. Brett is possible. Med body at least. Flavor is earthy, spicy, grassy and bacteria which does seem to have a Brett characteristic. Quite dry. Hoppy. Bitter. Very Fleurs de Bois thing.

Draft pour to a tulip, enjoyed at Hop and Hound. I've been nothing but impressed with the beers from these guys so far with my limited exposure. Glowing golden pour, cloudy appearance, a very inviting aroma with lemon like notes, as well as plenty of tropical feel. Cool first sip, nice blend of tropical flavors here. The descriptors paired with the style had me worried this would be a soapy brew, but it doesn't come close for me. Really refreshing, even with a more dry finish. Not sour or overly funky. Delicious.
