Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts fine hoppy-dry, light flowery. Dry background, modest bitter. Not as strong as exspected. Finish almost a bit flat. Okay.

Typical Eastern European strong ’alcoholics’ lager’ from a can picked up at a Polish night shop. Thick, creamy, dense, lacing, snow white head, cristal clear golden blonde colour with strong fizz. Aroma of soaked corn, very strong ’can iron’, old books, sweaty grains, hint of grass. Neutral taste with strong minerally carbo, simple and very grainy, as well as very metallic middle phase with a hint of sweetish corn, surprisingly light body, more or less neutral finish with a brief suggestion of grassy hops without true bitterness, but bizarrely the alcohol stays hidden. Metallic, grainy flavour lingers. Cheap and expectedly not good, but it did strike me how the alcohol has been kept remarkable well in the background seen its strength, paired with light body and low sweetness, and in that respect not the worst one I had in this particular style.

Barwa miedziana, klarowne, jasnobeżowa, niezbyt obfita piana, lekko zdobi szkło. W aromacie karmel, toffi, alkohol.

W aromacie słodowe, nieco estrowe i skunksowe.

500 ml bottle into lager glass, no bottle dating. Pours crystal clear bright golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of light lemon, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of earthy hops and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of light lemon, cracker, bread, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, bread, light pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice balance and robustness of earthy hops and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness as well. Very clean on lager flavors with zero yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly grainy/creamy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice pale lager. All around good balance and robustness of earthy hops and pale malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and clean to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

500 ml can, from a wine store in Leyton, London. ABV is 6%. Clear golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of malt sugar, candy and floral and grassy hops. Medium sweet flavour with some alcohol, but also some bittering hops. No complexity, forgettable.

Prima pilsje, hoppig maar ook een beetje blikachtig, wat dan weer minder is (voor bier uit een fles).
