Cheers Mat, 500ml bottle: BBD 27 Jan 15, shared between 4 at the Sep 14 Shrewsbury bottle exchange. We seem to have a honey brew or a ’Cock’ named bottle every session, this was the months offering. Pours a lovely clear golden colour with a pure white head. If you had no sense of smell you’d say it was a lager/pilsner, but your nose tells you someone has dropped a bucket of honey into the brewing kettle and the taste confirms it. Too much honey for me.

Clear golden with big white head. Light malts, very grassy, herbal, almost seaweed-like vegetal notes and lettuce (!). Also some not so nice cardboard/baby vomit in there at first but that gives way to some more sweet malts later on. Light bodied with watery feel. Overall not that bad but there’s a lot of room for improvement and it’s quite watery.

Golden with fluffy white head. Sweet malts, quite fruity with some citrus, light marzipan, and decent hoppy finish. Overall nothing too special but a decent lager.

500ml can, another £1 special from my friendly (near) neighbourhood mini-market, in Gorgie. Clear pale-gold, short-lived white head. Light honey malt aromas, light floral hops on the taste. Gets sweeter as it goes down, saccharine, then sticky. Not great, but not a drain pour by any means. Better than some other mass-produced lager beers (damning with faint praise).

Can. A clear, dark golden beer topped by a small, dense, white head. The aroma is sweetish, with a generic fruityness. Some alcohol notes, and a touch of grains and cooked vegetables. Sweet fruity flavor with an alcoholic touch and some bitterness. Just some. Full body, pleasant carbonation, some warmth. Lasting finish with fruityness and cooked vegetables. Pretty awesome this one. Not. 140724

Musty, funky malt aroma, like old gym socks. Deep golden body with small white creamy head, lots of carbonation. Taste is initially malt followed by some stinky soft cheese. Finish is mostly yeast, cooked vegetables and funk.
