Bottle 75 cl. Pours a hazy opaque deep golden with hardly any head. The nose has sweet caramel and some rather nasty phenols. Medium body, odd herbal notes, yeast and some extremely unpleasant phenols. Really no good at all. Disclaimer: the beer is vintage 2015 and expired two months ago, but a style like this should never turn this bad after a few years. This is poorly crafted. 251217

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear, dark brown with an orange hue and a creamy, beige head. The nose has light peat and a whiff of diacetyl as well. Medium body, lightly sweet, burned caramel, dried fruits and again vague diacety accents. Soft mouthfeel, a little low in carbonation. The smoky notes are pleasantly downplayed. Bottled. Dark brown with small beige head. Aroma of honey, caramel and smoky licorice. Sweet with medium-full body. Sticky toffee and honey. Mushy. Resinous finish with a touch of metal. Poorly made and disharmonious.

Bottle. Pours hazy heather honey with medium white head. Aroma is grapefruit, spruce and dandelion. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter and light acidic. Body is light oily with fizzy carbonation. Finish is long and balanced sweet and bitter with notes of fruit and herbs.

Bottle. Pours opaque chestnut with medium white creamy head. Aroma is malt, caramel, fudge, prunes, yeast, Vegemite and dough. Taste is medium sweet, medium bitter and light acidic. Body is oily with light carbonation. Finish is long and mostly bitter with notes of elderberry flower, prunes, spruce, burnt caramel and alcohol.
