Description
Taybeh Brewing Company is a family owned business established in 1994 following the Oslo Peace Agreement (1993) when David Khoury and Nadim Khoury were inspired by their late father, Canaan David Khoury (1926-2002) to return to their home village of Taybeh after spending more than twenty years in the United States and establish the first micro brewery in the Middle East.
The goal was to invest and boost the local economy by introducing new styles of natural hand crafted micro-brewed beers according to the German Purity Law with no preservatives or additives making an excellent Palestinian beer while creating a nationalistic feeling. Nadim Khoury turned his hobby of making homemade beer during college days into a career becoming the master brewer. He is very proud to pass this passion and experience to his daughter, Madees Khoury, the only female brewer in Palestine.

Bottle at RBESG 08: Dark, clear; liquorice, roasted malt and turpentine in the nose; robust sweet-bitter flavour; short bitter-roasted-malty and sweet finish. Not so great..........

Bottled@RBESG Grand Tasting 2008
Dark copper brown color, small off-white head. Nutty, toasted chestnut aroma. Grassy, woody hoppy, caramelly flavor. Suprsingly good one from Palestine (this bottle was original, not one from Germany).

Bottled. Deep amber colour with mediumsized off-shite head. Aroma is big malts, some hops as well as some roasted notes. Flavour is quite much the same along with some grass. Also the roast is quite mild in the flavour.

RBESG08 grand tasting. I really liked the Taybeh Golden (the version brewed in Palestine) and I hoped that I would like this as well. Poured a nice murky brown red body with a nice light brown head. Notes of cocoa, coconut and caramel malt in the nose. Chocolate pudding taste with some sweet maltiness. Trace hops. A surprisingly nice, light and pleasant beer.

Bottled at RBESG. Hazy nut brown, airy beige head. Strawberry aroma. Sweet and fruity with medium body. There’s some toffee and estery fruit. Salty finish. This is a good beer - so unlike the crap that Haus der 131 Biere sells under their name.

Bottle, 5.5%. OK spicy hop aroma with caramelly maltiness. Clear amber colour. Very small white head. The flavour is nicely spicy from the hops. Some caramel in flavour, too.
