Draught @ the taproom (Jan 2025). Faintly cloudy dark yellow with a large foamy off-white head, faint piney aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter lightly piney orange peel taste, thin body, long piney finish. Decent, not striking.

At taproom. A bit hazy golden colour and small white head and lace. Light resiny nose. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Some pine and resin but otherwise very shallow and watery.

355ml can from Beer52 Chicago box @ 4.7%. Clear gold with brief fizzy white head that lasts seconds. Aroma is very grainy with a hint of lemon. Pleasant but standard. Not the best start but the taste is good, sweet, nice clean grainy element with a crisp bitter hoppy note. Flawed but not bad for a lager.

16oz can. Ugly label, looks like 90s store brand. Pretty straightforward, bready malts, faint noble hop balance. A pinch of offness in the aroma, but nothing too horrible. Drinkable.

16oz can. Mandarina takes it in a slightly modern, fruity direction. Still has some nice banana, less clove. The more I drink it, the further it gets from a traditional Hefe. Perfume-ish big mandarin notes, almost landing in candy strawberry. Different. OK.

16oz can. Straightforward Marzen. Pleasant bready Munich malt tone. Aroma isn't my favorite, but a pretty decent beer overall.

16oz can. Lemony hop tone, odd soapy finish. Earthy. Not really a great example of the style. Drinkable, but not that good.
