Bottle at Hard Rock Cafe in Punta Cana. No idea what it looks like. Aroma of grain, yeast, malt, floral notes, a touch of seaweed, caramel. Pretty weird for a pale lager. Flavour is above light sweet and light bitter. Light bodied with high carbonation.

I guess I’d better tick this one. They’ve forced a sample on me twice now at Maestro in Punta Cana and TBH it’s been the best beer I’ve had here in the Dominican Republic. But anyway, we’re getting ahead of ourselves. Here’s the review…
It’s a pretty clear golden with an off white head. Things go well when you take a sniff, grassy, dank and weedy hop character dominates with a citrus light fruity back end. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. The bodies kinda light medium. Less than the NZ IPA from them.

Black with a beige head. Pretty nice looking right off the bat. Roasty in the aroma, dark chocolate, dark malt. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Above light bodied with moderate carbonation. Really quite solid. I’m liking what this brewery does, quality is stand out for what I’ve seen across the Caribbean.
