Bottle from the Albert hypermarket in Chodov, Prague I guess, shared with heavy. Hmm poured a deep red going black body with a small-medium beige head. Oily malty nose, sweet, dried figs, maybe a little alcohol, roasty. Eh. A very sweet, sugary almost taste ending with oily alcohol, reminiscent of a mead even for a seconds. Chewy maltiness, very light roast. Dried figs again... ooof... warming. Started off badly but improved in the end as it warmed, hopping from 2.4 to 2.9. Not as subtle or complex like the best but has its own merits.

[9/7/09] Botte from pivnizub (thanks!)l at my hostel in Brussels. Black-colored with a light-brown, quickly-diminishing, head. Nice aroma of cocoa, some mocha and some light fruitiness. Roasty flavor of chocolatey malt, some dark bread, coffee, and a dry, roasty, and slightly herbal finish. Medium-bodied. Could use some more body, but a nice beer overall.
