Bottle from Ledger’s. Very dark brown pour with ruby edges and a large creamy tan head. Aromas of chocolate, treacle and roasted malt. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, a little smokey, a little chocolate and perhaps treacle. It’s really quite tasty. Possibly a bit of sasparilla. Finishes with diminishing sweetness and increasing bitterness.

Bottle as Primator Maibock, which is Primator Blonde Bock on BA, which is an alias of this on this site. And the bottle is 7.5%. Golden color with a huge finely bubbled head. Fairly strong aromas of noble hop and honeyish breadiness. Pretty much medium body with mild carbonation. There’s a lot of alcohol flavor, not heat burn, just alcohol. It’s pretty bitter. Pretty grassy. But the malt liquor aspect of the alcohol and the grain work against enjoyment. And I’m not sensitive to diacetyl, but this seems to have it.

Bottle from Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove Nr Wantage, Oxon 26-07-09 Pours warm gold with white head. Aroma is a bit honey and malt. Taste is big on the alcohol, quite bitter, hops are there along with some vanilla and a touch of soft creaminess. Ok its a fairly pokey strong lager, but I didn’t mind it. A6 A4 F7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Bottle from Corti Bros. in Sacramento, CA. Pours pale gold with a monstrous foamy white head. Nice aroma of grassy hop mixed with some bread. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is a bit of breadiness and a lot of grassy hop. Nice mild bitterness goes on. Seems more German than Bohemian, but??
