A dark option of Czech lager, created using four types of malt and Czech hop varieties. The combination of special colour malts gives the beer a full caramel flavour with traces of roasted black coffee and dried plums. Round malt flavour, decent bitterness, velvet foam absolutely invite you to take another sip and nibble something sweet.

0.5 l bottle. Pours deep, dark brown colour with thick, long lastin beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Watery coffee and roasted malty notes combined in a bit too thin body. Softly carbonated and easily drinkable. Mediocre.

Bottle at Pino, Kraków. Aroma is slightly roasted dark malt, caramel, toffee, notes of coffee. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light, bit weak. Fairly decent overall.

Bottle picked up from Kaufland, Prachatice, Czechia and consumed at home in the company of Jenny and Lars, Saturday 24th February 2024. Pours dark brown with good clarity, aroma is very subtle. A little sweetness but otherwise, mostly a nice tang, caramel and some dark fruit.

Röstmalz, süße und säuerliche Noten, ein Hauch Traubensaft (in dieser Reihenfolge). Alles nicht sehr intensiv. Das Bier hat nur 4,5 % Alk., schmeckt aber eher nach 3,5 %. Recht intensiv carbonisiert, etwas zu scharf.

12/1/2023. Bottle from Vin og vin, Hobro. Pours clear dark hazelnut brown with a small frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, toffee, molasses, dried fruit, hint of liquorice and coffee. Medium sweetness and light to moderate roasted bitterness. Moderate body, oily, quite fizzy. Decent for style but too carbonated.

Clear reddish chestnut, medium creamy tan head, good lacing. Malty, roasty Aroma, toast, tobacco. Campfire, leather. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, malty and roasty. Merlin body, soft mouthfeel.

Bottle from HavnensVin&Tobak as Dark Christmas Lager. Pours dark reddish coffe brown with small offwhite head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toffee, bread and hints of cinnamon. Taste is medium to very sweet, light to medium bitter and faint acidic. Body is oily with fizzy carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes of malt, bread, caramel, fudge, cinnamon and hints of iron. Nice dunkel with a hint of Christmas.

Bottle as Dark Christmas Larger.Dark brown colour with medium beige head aroma of chestnut and spices mild toasted and caramel nots bready and mild finish.
