Sad that this beer is made by A-B, but hey it is a standard lager with a little Heiniken taste to it. It isnβt an offensive lager like many others and it is easy enough to swill a few of these while watching TV or something. Cool bottle design with the Kirin spirit on it.

Can, 2007. Very clean, clear golden with a medium, foamy head. Sweet malts, and starch complete the aroma, oh boy... Sharp, thin mouth. I was hoping for something special in this seasonal, but isβs just another tasteless macro from Japan. Theyβre all the same.

Black with a really dark tan head. Roasted molasses malts, chocolate, and sweet malts in the pleasent aroma. Smooth medium body. Flavor is a more intense version of the aroma with the roasted, smoked malts really coming through. Chocolate, and molasses are also noticeable. Long roasted finish. This is a pretty good brew. The best Kirin has to offer.

Medium white head. Yellow body with light carbonation. Light harmonic malty fruity aroma with rubbery notes. Dry dense straw and malt aroma with powerful medicinal hoppy background. Dry medicinal hoppy aftertaste. Clean, clear mouthfeel. Quite interesting, and not at all bad. (0.35l can from a grocery store in Tokyo.)

Smallish white head. Yellow body with light carbonation. Light corn and rubber aroma, slightly unbalanced. Dry rubbery taste, very light, with sugary, soft-drink-like notes, and some corn. No real aftertaste, just a lingering papery corn taste, reminiscent of fruit. Itβs drinkable, but not very good. (0.35l can from a grocery store in Tokyo.)

Small white head quickly shrinks. Yellow body with light carbonation. Strange rubbery eucalyptus aroma with hoppy notes. Dry grassy hoppy malty taste with rubbery notes. Very straight pilsener taste. Clean, chalky mouthfeel. Dry grassy aftertaste. Nice! (0.35l can bought in some grocery store in Tokyo.)

Can. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of straw. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of fruit - all in all a bit sickening, with a slightly bitter finish. The body is thin.
