Medium brown head. Nearly opaque black body goes barely translucent deep dark brown at edges. Earthy oily roughly herbal aroma with licorice and soy sauce notes. Dry-sweet roasty chocolate and licorice taste with roasty herbal notes. Mid-to-full body. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish rough roasty chocolatey aftertaste with earthy burnt mineraly notes. A bit like a steinbier. Drinkable and different. Interesting, harmonic, and well balanced. (0.5l bottle, from Kezmuves Csemege, Budapest.)

Medium offwhite head. Clear golden body with very light carbonation. Grassy earthy strawy aroma with nutty fruity notes. Dry-sweet strawy earthy grassy taste with herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish herbal grassy aftertaste with strawy mealy notes. I detect some weird similarities with Lithuanian beers, no idea why. Nice, but a bit rough. (0.5l bottle, from Kézműves Csemege, Budapest.)

0.5l bottle. Clear orange body, white head. Aroma of bread and floral hops. Taste of floral hops, some toast, minimal caramel and citruses. Nice beer, but I expected more citrusy hoppyness from a beer that’s dedicated to Armando.

golden colout, minimal white head; aroma of honey, floral hops and maltyness; taste of malty sweetness with honey again and some floral hoppyness...well, it would be a great beer if it was a maibock, or a doppelbock, for instance, but, taking into account that it is claimed to be a ’pale ale’ I have some concerns, especially in the light of that fact it is brewed for Armando (and, in fact, named after him), one of the key person of the Hungarian beer revolution...so, I expected something more hoppy (much more hoppy with a huge amount of American hops).

Bottled 330ml. -from Sörspecialista.hu, Budapest. Black coloured, small to medium sized brown head, chocolate and hint of marzipan in the nose. Light roasted malt, mild coffee and sweet fruity (plums mainly) taste with notes of marzipan and alcohol. Maybe a bit too fruity but otherwise nice brew.

Hah, ogreface got a beer. Cool! Ogivlado got this somewhere in Hungary. Sweetish fruity malty aroma, nice herbal notes, slightly weak though. Ok, slightly dry, slightly woody taste, ok herbal hoppy notes. The rest I wrote is illegible. Oh well. A solid beer indeed!
