0.33 l bottle from Csak a jo sor, Budapest. Almost black color with small beige head. Aroma of plums, caramel. Taste, chocolate, caramel, raisins in rum, coffee hints. Alcohol is strongly present. Very nice beer, I can hardly believe that is from Hungary.

Bottled, thanks armando629! Ruby/black, small head. Grainy licorice aroma. Very dry with sake-like delicate grainy salmiak flavour. Surprisingly crisp and light bodied, low bitterness. Incredinly drinkable for a 9% beer, where did the alcohol go? Very unusual beer, but also very enjoyable.

Bottled, thanks armando629! Near black, small head. The nose is heavy on coffee. Mid sweet with dense, rounded mouthfeel and solid body. Some tar followed by a warming finish with some coffee bitterness. Unusually bold and brave Hungarian microbrew.

Bottle 33 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Courtesy of nate2g. Clear reddish brown with a rough off-white head. Sweet dried fruit and Belgian yeast in the nose. Solid body, dried fruit, yeast and a fairly alcoholic finish. I’d call this an Abbey Dubbel rather than a Doppelbock! 060610
