Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours very hazy ruddy brown with a beige head. Aroma seems rye and dark fruit and dark malt. Med +j body. Flavor is heat, whiskey that seems rye, dark fruit, dark malt, light hint of chocolate. Heat is flavor here - not an issue. Nice.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours brown/tan head. Med body. Flavor is dark malt, maybe earthy chocolate. Just a touch of something suggesting sour. If it is, it’s very, very light. It’s nice; firmly flavored; tough for me to parse. Pretty good!

Bomber from Corti Bros. 8.4%/30 IBU/Tennessee Whiskey Barrels. Purs very dark brown with a creamy dark tan head. Aroma is chocolate with mild hints of whiskey. Full bodied. Flavor is whiskey, chocolate, smooth burnt malt. Must have been a bunch of whiskey in those barrels. Not really getting heat, but the whiskey is inducing a bit of a rush in my forebrain. Finishes not unlike a chocolate candy filled with whiskey. Not sweet, just bitter chocolate and whiskey. Ah, it is pretty good, tho hard to describe.

Bomber from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma of citrus over lightly roasted malt. Med body, nearly. Flavor is a little roasty/bready with mild citrus. Hint of pear in the finish. It is towards dry, and it is bitter.

Bomber from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours bright gold with a white head. Aroma of pale malt and light grass. Med body. Flavor is bready, spicy, grassy. Pretty bitter. Gets grassier with time. I thinks it’s a pretty good pils.

Tap @Sugarbowl resort. Pours hazy chestnut, small creamy beige head, dissipates slowly, good lacing. Aroma is nutty and bready, a bit of toasted caramel. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, malty, nutty, bready, just a hint of smokiness. Medium body, highish carbonation, some lingering bitterness and acidity. Not bad.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light tropical fruit aroma. Grapefruit and light tropical fruit flavor with light pine and light dustiness. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and light tropical fruit linger with light pine.
