Pours dark brown, good white head.Smell is rich, intense, caramel/earthy. Taste is bit bitter, followed up by some sweetness. Silky MF , yet not so intense taste. Mild caramel, as well as some earthy leaves.

Sampled @ Pre-Borefts-Tasting 2016. Trübes dunkel orange braunes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach reifen roten Früchten Karamell, leicht oxidiert. Geschmack süß malzig, Karamell, reifes Obst, leicht alkoholisch.

Bottle. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is prunes, figs, some chocolate. Taste is more prunes, quite fruity, a bit boozy in the back. High carbonation. One of the better quadrupels.

Bottle at Pre-Borefts tasting. Very dark brown with big dark beige head. Lots of sweet chocolate, alcohol, raisins, fudge, bitter herbs and grass. Over medium sweet with alcoholic bitterness. Almost full bodied.

Bottle at the pre-Borefts tasting, Den Haag, 2016. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is rich oily alcoholic roasty malt. The flavour is strong alcoholic bitter with a rich roasty alcoholic malt, floral hop bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.
