Sample at Mockery Brewing. The beer pours a hazy dark orange color with a medium thin ivory white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Sticky strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of rum, citrusy hops and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of rum, fruity hops, herbal tea and grainy malt. The finish is slightly boozy with a rum and hops aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Tulip at the brewery - lightly hazy gold - nose is fairly funky, dry, but with some tropical sweetness underneath, pineapple Brett character - flavor is dry, moderately bitter, moderately acidic - frothy texture - mild bugginess through the middle, but finishes with moderate Brett character, cobweb, plastic phenols, juicy fruit gum - the Brett character is pretty nice, and not out of control - finish brings some gingerbread sweetness - enjoyable enough to start coming back here again (I’d written them off for a while, but came back on a whim to kill time).

Barrel Hoppy Brown 12% 59 IBU
On tap at the Brewery. A deep fudge brown color with a beige head and a fruity hop bouquet melded with oaky whiskey notes. The taste is tannic oaky fudge with citrus hops in the finish with some varnished wood notes. Nice.
