On tap at Olive Garden. Pours clear copper with a lacy bone white head; the lace sheets all the way down the glass. Taste is medium bitter and candy sweet with flavors of toast, pine, earth, biscuit. Aroma is a bit faint; kind of earthy, biscuity, minerals, some faint caramel. Very good.

Growler fill from the brewery. So cool that anyone with homegrown hops could bring them in and contribute to this beer! Thanks beerdrinker79 for growing them and letting me come help you pick them off the bines, even if we were hungover. And big thanks to the brewers who gave us free growler fills for bringing in the hops. Pours hazy burnt orange to amber with a long-sustaining off-white head that leaves patterns of lace all the way down the glass. Aroma is bready, earthy, floral, light perfume, lemon, and an interesting fresh picked vegetable aroma thatβs a bit like celery or sugar snap peas. Taste is medium-high-level bitter backed by an almost candy-like sweetness. Body is medium, average carbonation. Overall, a nice beer and definitely not your traditional fresh hop ale. As a sidenote, the two pounds of hops we contributed were a mixture of Cascade, Centennial, and Zeus. I wonder how many different varieties ended up in this brew?

On tap at the brewery Friday. ABV is 6.1%, IBUs are 104. Pours lightly hazy copper with off-white foam. Aroma is dank and citrusy hops. Flavor is fairly bitter with a nice hop profile. Highly carbonated with a medium body. This is the best IPA Iβve had from these guys yet. Love the Apocalypse Now reference!

On tap at the brewery last night. Pours a slightly hazy golden with white foam. Aroma is grainy, citrusy, flavor is the same. The graininess here is welcome and I like the hop character. Highly carbonated, medium to thin body. Good beer. Just a sidenote, I heard secondhand that the head brewer said batches of this fluctuate in quality and that this particular batch was one of the best ever.

Rated this over a week ago. I emailed the brewery to find out more info about it, but no response. This was my original review, from a growler fill shared by my brother-in-law: Aroma is doughy, peaty, roasty, toasted marshmallow, licorice. Brown
pour with a large beige head with good retention. Smoky sweet, dark
fruit, roasty. Average carbonation, medium body. Excellent. Best beer Iβve had from Mad Bomber.

From the sampler tray at the brewery; listed as Powder Keg India Brown Ale. Slightly hazy copper brown pour with a beige head that leaves some really groovy lace, even in this small sample. Sweet nutty flavor with a nice bitter hop edge. Good.
