Draft pour at WA Brewfest. Really looked to try all the pepper beers at this fest. A slightly hazed golden yellow pour, with no head. Soft grain aroma, but buried by a fresh green jalapeno. Love it. Flavor is more pepper flavor up front, with the heat settling in late. Quick a nice kick of heat in the finish here. A pretty solitary pepper flavor going on. Hints of some straw maybe. Can’t complain though. Love the jalapeno flavor here. Nice beer.

Shaker pint draft at the brew pub in Spokane, Washington, served with a lime wedge. The pour is mostly clear golden yellow with not much of a white head. The aroma is earthy vegetal Jalapeno, along with husky, somewhat unclean, malt grain. The taste is gentle Jalapeno spice up front, natural pepper skin flavor, and then a basic ale malt sweetness underneath. Decently clean. The palate is light bodied, active carbonation and dryish finish with lingering spice from the Jalapeno.

Shaker pint draft at the brew pub in Spokane, Washington. The pour is clear golden with not much of a white head. The aroma is dirty malt grain, along with fruit sweetness, presumably from the Huckleberry. The taste is the malt husky grain, with bright, somewhat artificial fruit sweetness. Very basic, bit muddled. The palate is light to medium bodied, low carbonation and lingering huckleberry sweetness. I was expecting something more hop harvest oriented, and this was not it (my bad, should have read the description in advance).
