4/XII/22 - 50cl bottle as a gift, shared @ Dennis’ place, BB: 14/VI/23 (2022-1714) Thanks to Arno for the bottle!
Little cloudy amber to light orange beer, practically no head. Aroma: quite some ginger all right, pisces, ripe banana, yeasty. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sweet and sugary start, ripe banana, yeasty, spicy, lots of ginger, almost a ginger burn as a matter of fact. Aftertaste: sweet and spicy, yeast touch, lots of ginger still. Good ginger beer, I do like ginger of course, so it’s hard to do me wrong with a ginger beer, even if it’s too sugary like this one.

Black with a lasting off-white head. Roasted aroma with liquorice, a touch of smoke and a hint of herbal hops. Sweet roasted flavour - but relatively dry for a strong Willemoes beer. Intensely roasted with liquorice, charcoal and a touch of dried fruit. Hoppy bitter finish with warming alcohol. Impressive beer.

Bottled. A black beer with a lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, prunes, and spices, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle from rema. pale brown with a giant head, watch out. aroma of raisins, roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, christmas spices. flavor is raisins, syrup, roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, very brown cake, end is roasted malty and charred wood or charred plastic. Much more flavorful than the color signalled, and many kinds of flavors, also the raisins or dark dried fruits, which kind of work well with the fainter christmas spices and the christmas theme. Sort of reminds me of much stronger dark belgian beers. The flavor i get here, could easily be produced by a 10% belgian quad. In that respect, the beer is very good. Flavor profile is also heavy enough to balance or work well with the crazy danish christmas food. The burnt plastic note in the end is a bit in the way, I don't know why it's there, tastes like a brewing error, or if not, the christmas spices and hard roasted malty end and the hops mix up in a bad way. it's almost like charred raisins towards the end.
