0,75 l bottle. Pours hazy golden yellow with big frothy dissipating white head. Aroma is very malty, bread, pilsner pollen aroma, yeast, fruity banana ester, some citrus and herbal hop notes, spices. Taste is medium sweet, light to medium bitter, some very light sourness. Body is medium, surprisingly light for quite high ABV, texture is creamy, carbonation lively. Finish is quite long, malty, light spicy and herbal with mellow medium bitterness. As it gets warmer more and more pollen aroma comes to front. Quite complex and very drinkable.

0,33 l bottle. Pours clear copper with average off white head. Aroma of malt, some caramel, nicely fruity, mainly stone fruit and some dried figs, sweet candied sugar, a hint of alcohol. Body is medium to heavy sweetness, medium bitter. Body is full, texture oily and carbonation average. Finish is extra long, starts malty, followed by herbal hop notes, medium bitterness and alcohol. Feeling of alcohol stays for a while, but it's not annoying. Maybe not as complex as similarly strong top tripels, but very well rounded and drinkable beer. Alcohol is felt, but it's not annoying.

bottiglia 33 cl, bel cappello di schiuma bianca fine molto persistente, color giallo oro limpido, al naso è floreale malto lieviti belgi spezie succo di pera, in bocca è delicata malto frutta a pasta gialla pera, carbonatazione forte che pulisce la bocca ad ogni sorso, corpo rotondo, ben bilanciata l'alcool non si sente, dolce e lieve acidula con amaro leggero. Scorre via che è un piacere. Una Tripel eccezionale 14.01.18

Bottle from Beery Christmas advent calendar. Pours deep amber, quite clear actually, light beige foam that disappears quite quickly. Nose has some sweet candy sugar, caramel and lightly bitter booze. Belgian yeast for sure. Tastes quite sturdy, candy sugar and Belgian yeast spiciness, some dried yellow plums and light grassy bitterness. Quite dry, drinks easily and finish is warmed up by its abv a bit, light bitter tingle. Classical Belgian, not bad but well, they also never wowed me.

Bottle at home from Waitrose. A really strong yeasty nose and a sharp carbonation that does nothing for me. This was yeast, yeast, yeast with some hops left cowering in the corner. Overall the carbonation was off-putting and I didn't enjoy the beer.

Bottle at home in Beer Hawk advent calendar. It’s ages since I had one of these. A dark pour with a rich caramel flavour and lots of bass notes. There was low carbonation which was welcome. It was sipped in an ideal spot in front of the fire having put the kids to bed and struggling to get my tablet to work.

Apariencia de color dorado ligeramente turbia. Espuma muy cremosa, blanca y abundante, muy buena retención. Carbonatacion a tope, lo que la hace chispeante y agradable en boca. Aroma super frutal, con toques florales. Sabor increíble, ligeramente dulce y frutal (uvas, plátano, naranja..) con un final amargo y floral del lupulo. Textura cremosa con presencia de los tres cereales, perfectamente integrados. Cerveza perfecta, obligado probarla. 4,7/5

Tomada de nuevo tras varios años. La espuma con menos retención de lo que recordaba, bonita en copa. La carbonatación muy alta. Aroma floral y frutal (plátano, manzana, vainilla). En sabor añado notas a vino blanco, muy frutal; final algo seco y amargo con notas especiadas a clavo y cilantro. No es tan perfecta como recordaba, pero sigue siendo una de las mejores cervezas que he probado. 4,5/5

Bottle. A deeply pleasing belgian strong ale, silghtly sweet flabours, caramel, some classic belgian strong ale lager/alcohol imbalance. One of the better ones. 16/12/17 Re-rated bottle at some bar in Brussels Midi. Nice colour and booze cuddle but sweet. it's fine. 3.5 to 3.4 (13/6/19) Rerated, keg at Captain Cooks, Östersund. Its got style and its got grace, but nothing too memorable. Sweet ish. 3.4 to 3.6
