Live rating: Cask at Southampton Arms, London on 28th September 2010. Light equity aroma, elderflower, wild berries and both citric and grassy hops in-mouth, and a developing grassiness in a finish that refreshes and quenches. Rather sophisticated. Gentle, easy light textured mouthfeel. Enjoyable pint.

Cask, handpump at The Turf Tavern, Oxford 02.09.10 Pours lmid gold with a white head. Floral and honey on nose, but not sure that I could tell it was elderflower, regardless itโ€™s a good tangy beer, nice zappiness to this and a could beer to try alongside the Downton Allrounder. Nicely bittersweet, pleasant beer. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Cask, handpump at The Turf Tavern, Oxford 02.09.10 Pours reddy brown with a light foamy head. This is malty in the mouth and with a nice fruity aroma, I get plum skinโ€™s, tangy and tasty but no world beater. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Cask (Guide Dog, Southampton) - Copper coloured. Malty and fruity aroma with raisins, caramel and nuts. The taste is fruity with hops, spicy malt and dried fruit detected. The rose hips are not so easy to detect, but Iโ€™m not too familiar with this ingredient. Not bad at all.

Cask-conditioned at the Coronation, Bristol 24/08/10. Deep, clear chestnut in colour with a billowy white head. Nutty aroma with some bready malts and hint of sweetness. Flavour was malty with plenty of hedgerow plum fruit, sweetish cereals, a touch of marmalade and a decent, bitter finish. Unusual and enjoyable.
