Cask at Charlieโ€™s Bar. An amber beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt and toffee as well as a whiff of hops. The flavor is sweet and very toffeeish, almost chewy, with light notes of tobacco, leading to a bitter finish. The body is no wonder light.

Gravity cask at the Bree Louise, London NW1 UK on 9th June 2009.Pale gold/straw-coloured ale with small white head and almost clear body. The two salient aromatic notes were biscuit and moderate grapefruit, otherwise strongly hoppy in first kick, citric in aftertaste with a slightly chalky mouthfeel underpinned by a grassy hoppy finish which lingers between sips. Enjoyable pint. 6/4/7/3/16 Re-rating June 2023: Cask at the Alehouse, Reading on 30th June 2023. Amber with almost no foam or lace. Slightly soapy aroma. Spicy fruitiness in-mouth, slightly saline. Caramel malt dominates the finish. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. 6/3/6/3/13

Cask gravity at Reading BF 09. Not really expecting to like this, but itโ€™s good. Very deep chestnut colour/mahogany, lasting beige head. Smells like an orange kitkat. Bit of wafer. It is rather chocolatey in the mouth, actually itโ€™s very nice and grew on me after the initial hit of intensity. Bit of spice on swallow. Nice.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 09. Clear gold, very lasting bubbly white head. Slightly yeasty on aroma. Not sure rum is very present. Itโ€™s got a bit of sweetness form the rum, yes definite edge to it, over a perfectly fine golden ale. Rather good.

Cask at Reading beerfest. Copper coloured beer with beige head. It tastes like Terrys chocolate orange, surprise surprise. My wife would enjoy this one. Quite pleasant.
