500ml bottle from Beermoth. Bought this because I thought it was named after the Minor Threat LP, but not sure if it is now. Anyway, this wasn’t as hoppy as I though it’d be.. definitely not out to blow your socks off. Has a bitterness, fruitiness & touch of spice that’s hard to put your finger on. Not bad but not mindblowing.

Cask at the Clapton Hart, 16/08/13. Lightly hazed golden with a moderate white covering. Nose is toasted malts, ginger, orange, fruit notes. Taste comprises root ginger, soapy overtones, bitter orange, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finish. So so, whilst a SHV is never likely to push the rating digits high this number was a little over soapy.

500ml bottle. Minimally cloudy golden colour with huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Spicy aroma has notes of coriander, orange zest, a touch of banana. Taste is minimally to moderately sweet wheat malty, coriander, orange zest; prickling carbonation. The coriander is slightly too dominant and gives the typical impression of bath salt - still nice.

500ml bottle. Minimally cloudy orangey golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma has notes of gooseberry, lime, a grainy touch. Taste is dry, minimally grainy and husky, hints of gooseberry, unripe green pear, a touch of lime, green wood. Would have preferred more caramel malt instead of the grainy notes.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Bash 2013. Poured a hazy chesnut brown colour with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma is rich red berry fruit leading to a medium to strong bitter flavour with lots of spice, pepper and liqourice on the super smooth palate. A great DIPA I must say.
