Cask handpump, half pint shared with Finn at our third day enjoying the National Winter Ales Festival. Yellow-gold body, slightly misty. Nice lacing from a tiny, white head. Lemony hops to the nose. Fresh taste of pineapples leading to a smooth bitter ending, mid-dry. Succulent in the mouth. Well made (Manchester, 25.01.2013).

Cask at NWAF 2012. Pretty clear golden with a nice and white head. Fruity aroma with peaches, tropical fruits and hints of citrus, yeast and malt. Sweet and fruity with a light bitterness and dryness in the finish. (2013-01-25)

(cask@Catford Bridge Tavern) A hazy orange/amber pour with a medium frothy off white head with good lacing. Aroma is citrus hops and caramel malt. Taste is citrus (orange/grapefruit/lemon) caramel malts pine and bitter on palate. Lovely!

(cask@Catford Bridge Tavern) Pours a very pale yellow with a small thin white head with light lacing. Aroma is pleasing citrus hops. Body is thin and taste is lemon citrus and light malt. Decent overall.

1/2 pint cask at Chorlton Beer Fest 2012. Amber/orange body with no lacing, a bit hazy. Smells like wet wool and hint of cheese and lemon. Celery, coriander and bitter finish. (6.Jul.2012)

Hand-pulled half-pint in the lovely ’Old Joint Stock’ Birmingham (West Midlands) on 5th Dec 2012. Purple sort of colour with a cream head that refused to hang around. Smell was all about the blackberries in the name, as was the taste. Tart with a bitter finish, interesting without being ’over the top’ and certainly different to any other Mild I’ve had before. It did however remind me of one beer I’ve had. A kind of watered down Fullers Jack Frost sort of brew: that might sound unkind (the watered down bit), but it is lower in ABV and the flavours are very simular.

Cask (handpump) @ NWAF 2012, National Winter Ales Festival, The Venue, Sheridan Suite, Manchester, England.Unclear medium yellow color with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, wehat, moderate yeasty, orange peel, peach. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average to long duration, peel bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120119]

Cask-conditioned at the Cheshire Beeriodical, Seven Stars, Bristol October 2012. Near black with a decent, off-white head. Aroma of dark fruits and coffee. Flavour had more fruit, a touch of chocolate and dryish finish. Very good.
