Pour @ BK Cider House. Opaque, light wheat-colored, still brew. Smell is sharp & ripe, with a pineapple & mango esscence. Taste is yeasty, melon & plastic. Floral, with a vinegary, grain sweet finish. Some soft orange honey on the tail as it warms. Still a bit amateur imo. Enjoyed the venue space & guest ciders.

Clear, 14k gold, still body. Smells of dry pear & a touch of melon. Taste is primarily melon & dry, flat champagne. The sort of glass that has sat around for a few hours after the New Years ball drop, but it still somewhat satisfying. Flavored water & grape sort of sweetness. Slight twang & ash, with an apple peel bitterness. Light on tartness, with a casual sourness that is pleasant. Simple & solid.

Shared a bottle from my local beer shop at a BBQ & barely had any, so I had to grab a single from the corner market for a proper rate. Just got home & noticed it was not still at all, so add it to the database I must. Tulip pour. A clear, pale body, somewhere richer then straw, but not quite MGD yellow. Sprity, zestful carbonation. Smells of melon, lemon, wine, residual yeast & faint funk. Taste is ashy dry champagne, floral & minerally. The bubbles just aren’t as tight. A little tannic skin lingers on my tongue, but otherwise this drinks like a slightly flat, low alcohol cava. Low sulfites, mild tartness, leafy greens bitterness, refreshing. Pretty decent for a low cost cider, despite my less then complimentary words.

Four pack from that pricey place on Washington in BK that left a salty taste in my mouth. Rounded pint glass pour. Clear, pale, vibrant straw-colored brew. Smells of prickly flowers, melon, & a little lemon. Taste is of dry, yeasty juice, turning a little floral & band-aid as it swirls. Dominate yeasty follow through, that is just a bit tart. Sour(or even half-sour) it is not. Very mellow, a little cottonmouth, but not enough else to keep me interested. Half flat carbonation, a little suspect newspaper-y oxidation. ...I still prefer the bone dry.

Four pack from some expensive craft shop on Washington in BK. Had their flagship stuff & it was just okay. Though I heard they were going to actually move to Brooklyn & get apples grown for them directly. I wonder if I could make any money rebadging everyday items with the BK moniker. Doggie poop bags, hand stenciled by Williamsburg hipsters that have fallen on hard times. Sounds like a missed opportunity... Pretty gimmicky brand, but it is more authentic then a lot else on the market now. Rounded pint glass. Sudsy, clear, vibrant, pale gold body, Smells of champagne yeast, white sugar, watered down sharp fruit juice & faint cleaning products. Taste is pretty tannic at first.Grassy, bittersweet apples, white sugar & champagne yeast. Finish is juicy sweet & lightly tart. Carbonation is only a little prickly, halfway between overblown draft & a bottle opened an hour before. Really easy to quaf. Tastes better straight out of the bottle. That can’t be right.

Hi Hello, Brooklyn tap: pours a clear pale with very little head. Aroma is funky cheesy yeast etc... almost like a lambic or funky berliner in aroma and taste. Dry and tart but not quite in the land of sourness. Super low sweetness. Enticing.

Bottle brought by one of the ladies from Brooklyn cider house on the queens brewery trolley. Pour bubbly light gold. Nose is sweet mushy apple and tart green apples. Tastes of honey, green apple, pears, wood, and lots of residual sugar. Too sweet for my tastes.
