Can from Beer Boutique, New York. Tart with young green apple, grassy notes and some funk. Tart and a bit puckering flavour, finishes dry, only mildly sweet. A bit funky, I wish more Cider was like this instead of that sugary crap.

Strong completely clear and copper coloured body without any head at all, as you might expect, with some light bubbles coming through, but fairly subdued in appearance. Aroma of funky cedar, woodsy and grainy notes with some light apples and flowers noticeable along with a healthy dose of sugars and that's about it. Light-bodied; Strong appley and pear notes dominate with some light spices along with a touch of caster sugar and ending with a dry, floral bite that shows a bit more complexity than a standard dry cider. Aftertaste shows some of the more sweet and astringent sweetness from the apples along with a dry, very perfumey bite from the yeast and light citrusey aspects of the two. Overall, a nice and dry, but still sweet cider without too much complexity or variance from the norms, with a spice and yeast complexity that comes out, but is left mild and still very appley, regardless of anything else in this mix. A decent option, but not far enough removed from other ciders to make this worthwhile, but of course, it wasn't a bad option. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 26-January-2021 for US$2,50 sampled at my house here in Washington on 06-June-2021, after another day over 90degF here in the capital.

Super pale golden and almost white coloured body with a super effervescent and fast-dying pure white head with large bubbles and nothing else. Aroma of tart granny smith apples with a hint of allspice and light coriander seed, but nothing else aside from the fresh apples and a slight squeeze of lemons. Light-bodied; Strong apple and light citrus flavours dominate wit a touch of mild and soft coriander seeds for freshness along with a dry (bone dry) puckering of the mouth due to the soured and super tart apples. Aftertaste shows the very soft and easy-going apple and citrus flavours with only a touch of spice and nothing else of context - this is very simplistic and ultra pure in terms of flavours and especially the (non-existent) complexity. Overall, a pretty underwhelming cider, although it did live up to the billing on the front of the can, being 'bone dry'. The cider was soft, mild, bare of character and depth and showing no complexities at all. Not a bad cider, but a very easy drinking and refreshing one for when the weather gets hot. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 09-May-2020 for US$3,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on 27-May-2020.

Almost pure white coloured body with a faint golden glow and no head at all of course, but ghostly white and super crisp - mellow. Aroma of very dry and crisp apples with some yeast, light sugars, a dash of lemons and some softer acidity with a light kick of spice notes, but relatively mild - this is just a dry apple scent, really. Light-bodied; Very crisp pure deep sweet apple flavour with a lot of pear and juice flavours along with a nice yeast bite showing a slight twang of acids and sour qualities, but this is actually relatively sweet and much more robust in terms of fructose than I was expecting, and much less dry and tart. Aftertaste really showcases the fresh and very sweet apples themselves without much interference - there is a light glimmer of spice notes that almost show pears, but really, a slightly tart, slightly dry apple flavour with a lot of natural sweetness. Overall, a very nice and crisp cider that shows good apples, a pleasant layer (albeit thin) of complexity from some spice, dry and soured notes, but really just a sweet cider, full of flavour, especially considering how mellow the look is! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 06-May-2020 for US$3,69 sampled at my house in Washington on 15-July-2020.

On tap @BK cider. Generic, hazed, mellow gold. Soft apricot & skin scent. Taste is sour apricot & white wine. Faint carbonation. Thin & yeasty. Just okay. Feels too commerical for them.

Bottle from a local wine shop. Baby Duvel glass at home. Dull, pale gold body. Smells of mild soap, melon, grass & bubblegum. Bittersweet apples, light vinegar, salt, lime, aspirin, soap. Not super funky, mostly dry, somewhat chalky, with hints of sour & splashes of acid. Good carbonation pour after pour. Easier to drink then your typical sidra.

Edit x2 Can: Mostly the same as on tap, more Cabernet than cranberry on the nose. Tangy, sharp, touch of vinegar, a bit sweeter than it should be. Tap is still best for this. Edit: Had this on tap. Way better. Bold cranberry nose. Sharp, rich berry. Clean, slightly peppery finish. Still lacks some body & carbonation. Could be just the wine, but it's very good(on tap). Bottle from a local wine shop. Settled in the fridge for a couple days. Duvel tulip. Arching pink head, cloudy watermelon body. Yeasty, wild, macerated, vinegary red wine nose. Bitter apples, lots of grape skin, vinegar, sour lemon, gum, yeast. Carbonation dies quickly, some coarse filtering would help me. Tasty, if a bit different.

Bottle from the cidery. Duvel glass. Oily yellow color. Lingering protein & sediment. Flat. Smells of sharp apple skin & veggies. Melon, gum, acetone. Tastes of wild fermented, acidic apples. Hay, butter, gum, yeast, lingering zest. Slick feel & some hinting vinegar that I don’t like. This bitter zest note I’m getting saves everything & then some. A fair tannic note steps out as it warms a touch. Not quite sidra, not quite farmhouse. Needs something.
