Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly neutral, hay, minerals, caramel malts, grass, "knekk", hints of coffee. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, paper, hay, light malts, burnt caramel, minerals, cardboard. Medium bitterness, dry harsh mouthfeel. Meh!

Diebels Premium Altbier was the first example of the style I ever tasted and I still have the impression it is the most ’commercial’ Altbier. Claims to have been perfected in the eighties by adding roasted malt and a second hop variety. Off-white head on a deep copper robe, caramelly taste with some smokiness and a leafy hop bitterness in the finish. I remember this was quite enjoyable, though I had better Alts since then.

Light brown with off-white head. Caramel, sweet malts, some spices and vegetal hop bitterness. Medium sweet with slight dry pilsener bitter finish. Medium bodied. Nothing special but drinkable and nothing offensive. Quite bland stuff

Malzig-würzig im Antrunk, leicht süßlich. Toll malziger Körper. Der Nachgeschmack ist leicht süßlich-malzig, feinherb, sehr süffig. Die röstig-herben Aromen kaschieren den etwas wässrigen Körper gut!

Can shared. Pours clear amber brown with a big bubbly tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, light roasty. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
