Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed Saturday 25th February 2023 listening to Waeve - Waeve. Loz has made Thai Spring Rolls, we’ve made Untraditional Shepherd‘s Pies and I have just made a Toblerone Ice Cream. Pours reddy brown with a decent clarity, a little metallic twang combined with malt. A little underlying bitterness, there is a light sweetness. I quite like it.

Bottle from a shop in Leipzig. Medium brown clear, moderate head. Mild nose, a bit of caramel and malt. Flavor is pretty one dimensional, lightly sweet caramel malt, a wee bit of woody astringency and smooth but lasting foresty bitterness. Quite drinkable.

Bottle online from Beers Of Europe. Pours a slightly hazy light chestnut colour with a medium sized foamy off white head. Aromas of caramel, toasty brown bread and nuts. Taste has more caramel and toasty brown bread, cookies, more nuts and roasted malts on the slightly bitter finish. Medium body, a fair amount of carbonation and oily mouthfeel. Good Beer.
