Description
At Bitburger, the pure pleasure of Pilsner-style beer has a long family tradition. Since the founding of our brewery in 1817, we have dedicated ourselves fully to the quality and taste of our products. Today, seven generations and almost 200 years later, Bitburger is still in family hands – but the small business of two centuries ago has become one of the biggest breweries in Germany, and the number one player in the draught beer market. We owe the success of our company first and foremost to our employees, who bring real passion to their work for the company. For us, a sense of social responsibility is simply part of what we do. Bitburger also supports many charitable and community projects, and promotes cultural and sporting events.

0.5 l bottle from local 'EDEKA', best before October 2025. A bit hazy, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty and a little fruity aroma of caramel, burnt sugar and light raisins. Fairly sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, bread crust, brown sugar and a touch of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Typical Malzbier, not bad.

50cl Bottle, thanks Chris! Not sure if this is different from the earlier Eifelbrau Landbier, it seems to have completely replaced that one. Barcode is the same though, so either the same stuff or completely replaced the (in my memory not completely filtered) Landbier. Helder goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Moutig, vrij zoet, hint van honing, zacht, lichtbittere grassige finish. Lichte body. Heel veilig allemaal maar wel prima bier verder. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Eifelbräu Landbier on 11 Aug 2022 at 20:25 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Original review text: 50cl Tap bij Hotel Forsthaus, Volkesfeld. Zinloos in de wacht staan bij de alarmcentrale wordt er iets aangenamer van. Licht mistig goudgeel bier, witte kraag. Moutig, gist, bloem, citroenrasp, grassig, degelijk bitter. Lichte body. Prima.

Schlanker Körper, leicht würzig-malzig und etwas brotig, schöne fruchtige und hochwertige Hopfenaromatik, sehr süffig. Überraschend gut.

0.5 l can from 'REWE von Wantoch', canned in September 2024. Hazy, pale yellow with a thin, slightly fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, a bit sourish, rather fruity aroma of lemonade and some lemon juice. Rather sweet, a it sourish, rather fruity taste of lemonade, some lemon juce and hints of grains, followed by a short, moderately bitter and a little tart finish. Thin to medium body, minimally astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant Radler.

Alkoholfreies ohne Fehler, erinnert allerdings kaum an ein Pilsner. Äußerst süß und ziemlich malzig, nur sehr hintergründiger Hopfen.
