About

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel, and lesser notes of alcohol and nuts. The flavor is sweet malty with powerful notes of caramel and medium notes of nuts, leading to a dry bitter and nutty end.

Draught Very fine & dense brown head over copper-amber, clear beer. Malt, maltbread, bit of nuts or chestnuts aromas. Sweet, very malty, bit worts-like but not green. Finish is grassy, and very refreshing. Light beer, slight slickness. Nice, if unspectacular Dunkel.

This is really an "Ur"-Weizen, meaning amber. Draught Hazy orange beer with amberish-green shine; fine white head leaving lace. Strawberry nose, yeast esters, and slightly spicey, if not specific cloves. Again this strawberry flavour, retronasal typically "goose", or like bamboo shoots. Warming up, it gets Brett-like, with a bit of sulphur. Medium bodied at best, wheat slickness. An untypical but not unnice Weizen. Bit it is a bit weird.

Draught Brown head over Coca-Cola coloured beer, visible carbonation. Chocolate malt, dry chocolate or cacao powder, and breadmalt, dark, nutty. Sweet, but restrained, extremely malty taste, maltexplosion, again coloured by chocolate malts. Medium to full bodied, long lasting aftertaste. Quite nice Doppelbock, if not very alcoholic. But the (chocolate) malt taste makes it just fine.

Draught Orange-golden beer with small off-white head. Grassy, bit vegetable nose, with lots of malt. Also aroma of burning wax, but that might be the arrangement of the "Keller". Sweet, malty and a bit of soya shoots - or are it the bamboo shoots from the Weizen? Ends again on a fresh, green leaves note. Light bodied, only a bit of grist slickness. Decent Helles, definitely nothing more.

Bottle (donated by joss !): Deep ruby coloured, mid-sized fluffy head, quickly diminishing to a small foamy layer; faint sweetish-caramelly with a touch of roasted malt; delicate sweet-bitter flavour; sweet-dark-malty - with traces of milk-chocolate - finish with a spoonful of bitterness. A very restrained Dunkel...........
