Description
HUSH is born out of a shared love of beer, seasonal drinking, a passion for the wide variety of beer styles available and enjoying great times socialising over a beer. Our goal is to bring a variety of great local beers to the Northwich area and to share our passion for beer.

Chris and Simon started HUSH after meeting at Northwich Home Brew Crew and becoming instant friends. Individually they both harboured dreams of starting a brewery and found that together they have been able to pursue this shared passion.

We started brewing commercially in 2021 and have rapidly had to expand.

We aim to brew a fantastic range of traditional and modern beers. We love seasonality in beer and look to bring that out in our range.

Cask at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a hazy / cloudy golden amber with a small frothy off-white head. The aroma has malts and creamy biscuits. In the mouth it is sweet but with some underlying bitterness. Flavour has floral hops and mandarin (tinned oranges) plus traces of melon and grapefruit. Finish is dry and slightly sticky. This is OK, but a bit of a mess really.

On tap at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a murky raspberry red with minimal white head. Coconut is very strong in the aroma. In the mouth the main flavours are cherries and raspberries plus hints of strawberries, and somec coconut underneath. It’s bitter rather than sour, and even vthen there is a sweet streak as well. OK, but a bit eun of the mill.

On tap at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours jet black with no discernable head. Some vanilla in the aroma, but it’s barely noticeable. Much more in the taste line. Dark fruits may be the most obvious, but tonka beans, vanilla and chocolate aren’t far behind. Overall it’s sweet, with just a hint of alcoholic strength. Finish has more chocolate than anything else. A reassuringly complex beer with plenty of character.
