Cask (handpump) @ Ackhorne, 9 St. Martins Lane, York, North Yorkshire, England YO1 6LN.Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, berry tart notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130121]

Aroma is moderate malty, light roasted and caramel, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, licorice. Cask. Pours an almost clear amber golden with a dense off-white head leaving a little lacing. Sweetish and lightly perfumy nose. Light body, notes of nuts and licorice. Nice alright - not quite like Syd! 160110
