Description
Originally a commissioner based in London, Sheep In Wolf's Clothing relocated and began to brew on their own kit in Dunblane, some time in 2024.
SiWC started life in 2020. Our ambition is to become a leading brewery specialising in the production of low-alcohol and alcohol free beers and to open a series of accessible, inclusive pubs, which reflect the communities they serve.
Through an intensive R&D process, we’ve developed effective methods for producing high quality drinkable alcohol free and lower alcohol beers and have created a unique range of beers. These are beers you’ll remember.
Having refined our methods, the next step is to launch commercial production of these memorable recipes though our brewing partners whilst continuing to develop further recipes to launch later in the year. In the short term, these beers will only be available online and through specialist local retailers.
Down the line we look forward to opening a number of pubs which will be known for being the most inclusive and accessible in the UK. As our workforce grows, we are committed to proactively employing people from disadvantaged groups and those underrepresented in the workforce today. We want to run a successful company but ensure that we give back to our customer communities. We want to be your “local” pub in every sense of the word.

330ml can via Beer52, drank at home late on 5th June 2025. Black bodied, beige crown. Didn't even notice it was only 3.4% ABV, which is a good thing. Malty, woody, earthy and yet semi sweet also, decent all round.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with a loose cocoa coloured head; floral aroma with some blackcurrant and licorice; milky body with an immediate herbal bitterness and some dark fruit; then a tarry finish. An interesting flavourful porter, particularly given the ABV.

330ml can. Dark brown with good beige to tanned foamy head. Aroma of sweet toffee, dark malt, hay, black pepper, touch of vanilla. It starts tangy and moderately sweet and finishes bitter with a grainy dryness. Not exactly intense in flavour but the ABV will mostly account for that. The elements I picked up in the aroma do come though with a note of blackcurrant and are balanced and tasty. Its very good for the ABV.

5/3/2025. Can bought at Beer Hatch, Norwich. Drank from the can on the train home to Ipswich. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, nut, coffee, vanilla, marshmallow. Taste is unpleasant roasted bitterness, tangy, slightly tart/sour, tinny. Moderate body, watery, average carbonation. Aroma was okay but didn’t like the taste very much.

330ml can from Beer52. Semi-hazed gold with small white top. Aroma of flora, lots of melon, straw. Its quite sweet with melon being prominent. A touch earthy. There is a honey sweet resin quality in the finish which leads to some moderate long bitterness. Medium bodied, slick, fine carbonation, refreshing. Very pleasant although considering the style it lacks some vibrancy in the hops.
