Description
Since 1996, our brewing philosophy has been quite simple – to brew memorable, well balanced and flavourful beers, regardless of the style.

From light and crisp, to malt forward and smooth, all the way to loaded with hops… each of our brews are crafted using 100% malted barley, the finest hops, water and yeast.

Founded in Kelowna, BC, now brewing in our expanded facility with Big Rock Brewery in North Vancouver’s Brewery Creek district, drop by if you’re in the neighbourhood and we’ll show you first hand how we make great beer.

Thanks Tim.
This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a dark red almost brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a good pace.
The aroma had some rich caramel/toffee malts, some nuts and a stiff earthy hop bitterness. Light milk chocolate.
The flavor leads with the malts and nuts freely flowing into the earthy hops. Clean malty aftertaste. Somewhat of a malty finish.
The feel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a tad under with a good sessionability about it. Some carbonation. ABV felt good.
Overall, nicely done brown ale that I could have again.

500ml can. Pours a clear amber-orange with a thin, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of caramel malt and bread. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, bread, nuts and light citrus with a metallic note in a mild, bitter grass finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad.

Dark red-brown. Thin head. Earthy nose emphasizes toasty malts, woody hops and subtle, indistinct esters. Fairly bitter and toasty, sweeter biscuity notes. Nice balance.

Bronze, with a touch of haze. Has a mellow toasty hop note. The malts are toasty, with a moderate bitterness...so not very bright with the hops. An okay amber, but this took 2 months to get to Vancouver and in that time it probably lost a little something. Why dump it in Vancouver - sell it here from day one.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out light floral hops and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is quite fresh, with lightly grassy and floral hops, and a dry biscuity malt base to balance. Nicely structured, with a dry and juicy finish. Solid.

On tap at Tree Brewing Institute, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is almost nonexistent, with a little sweet corn. Flavour is a tiny bit more expressive, with sweet corn and straw. Clean and very boring. Whatever.
