Description
Distortion Brewing started life in the garage of founder Andy North's home in South London. Originally from Battersea, he is delighted to have found premises back home.

Distortion Brewing was originally inspired by a road trip to the US West Coast back in 2007. Here, American Craft Beer was tasted for the first time and the hop addiction started!

On tap at Dogs Grandad Brewery and Taproom, half-pint shared with Finn. Misty golden body, upper part lacing, low white head. Restrained aromas of grain and citrus. Hints of orange to the taste buds, supported by earth, and bread-like malts. Rounded ripe fruity end. Soft on the swallow. Fair enough. (Brixton, London 20.11.2021).

Tap... well tank... at the brewery. Aroma has rye spice and citrus. Hazy-opaque brown tinged gold. Lively foamy white head. Light-medium bitter. Grains and sherbert. A citrus tang. Hints of malts. Light bodied. Thin but slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. Enjoyable if not mind blowing.

Tap at the brewery. Barely discernable aroma - vague grain. Opaque copper gold. Creamy white head. Initial citrus sourness..backed up by ligh-medium bitterness. Then a slightly spiced veg element comes through. I don't mean sauerkraut.. it's just slightly peppery or such like. Light bodied. Slick. Flat-average carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Not keen workmanlike stuff.

Thin creamy beige head. Medium bitter with a sour edge and underlying cream. Add tart berries to the dark chocolate and liquorice. Medium bodied. Creamy. Average-prickly carbonation. Long dry finish.
