Hazy amber brown beer, a few pale tan bubbles don't even come close to forming a head. Palate is fairly light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. The malts feel thin but they pack plenty of flavour, toffee - caramel, not too sweet. A little cream. Spicy esters and a little brandy, plummy ripe fruits and marmalade leading to a semi dry and mildly warming finish. This is a proper barleywine but quite young, wish I had bought another to age. A tasty and rich affair.

Murky looking gold beer, small bubbly cream colour head. Nose of orange liqueur! Smooth and slightly soft palate, reasonable fine carbonation coming through on the back end. Smooth malts, slightly dry but delivering a good amount of creamy sweetness. Whatever hops are in this brew bring light pine and a tingling hop spice. The orange liqueur on the nose carries over a little bit on the tongue but is dominated by a more conventional ripe orange, trace of tangerine in there. Finishes light, dry and crisp with hop spice lingering on. Has a certain charm this brew, a nice orangey dipa and delivering plenty of hop spice

Bottle thanks to Grumbo: Poured a dark black with a frothy thick tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, spicy, smoke, coffee. Taste is rich roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, spicy, biscuit. Finish is smoky.

Half pint, cask, shared with Finn at Murderers. Off-white head, bright mahogany coloured body, dotted spots on the glass. Promising herbal hops and earthy malts on the nose. Blended taste of bread-like malts and dried fruits. Bittersweet finish. Decent British bitter. (Norwich 11.11.2021).

28/10/2021. Cask at the 2021 Norwich Beer Festival. Pours clear golden with a bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, orange, tropical fruits, pineapple, straw. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily watery texture, soft carbonation.

20/2/2021. Bottle shared at the third Ipswich Lockdown 3.0 virtual bottle share. Suffolk vs Norfolk. Bought direct from the brewery. Pours hazy pale gold with a frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, fruity, tangerine, malt, touch spicy. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Touch of grape to finish. Quite decent.
