20/6/2020. Bottle bought direct from the brewery. Pours very dark brown with a large frothy off-white head. Aroma of light roasted malt, rye, oats, chocolate, dark fruits, lactose, coffee and slight starchy notes. Moderate sweetness and light roasted bitterness. Moderate body, smooth texture, a little fizzy. Gets a lot from itโs 3.6%. Enjoyed this.

Cask at pigs ear 2019. A light hazed dull yellow straw coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is waxy, spicy silage, grass,. Flavour is composed of grains, straw, hay, grassy hop, hay, silage. Palate is grainy, drying, fine cask condition.

Cask at pigs ear 2019. A reddy brown coloured pour with a a halo of beige head. Aroma is nutty, twiggy, toasted malts, brown leaves, coco. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, jammy raspberry, coco, strawberry. Coco. Palate is semi sweet, light lowish carbonation. Decent.

ABV: 4.5%. Unclear light to medium yellow colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, moderate yeasty - hoppy, fruity yeast - fruity hops, sweet yeast, light anis seed. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet yeast, fruity yeast - fruity hops, pale malt, fruity malt, light anis seed. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20191203]
