473 ml can. Pours a hazy amber with light head. Aromas of coriander, muted orange and wheaty malts. Flavors of earthy esters, coriander, candied citrus and wheaty malts. Good enough, though pretty heavy and simple for the style.

Poured from nitro tap @ Devil's Bath. Very dark brown with full beige nitro foam. Light chocolate and roast with mild bitterness throughout. Decent.

Poured from 473mL can @ a hotel in Alert Bay. Clear-ish yellow gold with small white head. Lightly Wheaty with a feint hint of citrus. Not a true kolsch, would say it’s verging on hefe territory, but it’s okay for what it is.

There was no description on the menu so I asked “is Winter Spring a seasonal?” “It’s our dark beer” “like a dark mild?” “I don’t know what that is” “it’s a style of beer” “it’s our dark beer” (takes flight and walks to a table - "Winter Spring" is apparently named after a fish)
