What's Your Name Mean?
"Want to play a game?" Used to be our response, but because of our growth and your support we're adding this link to ease your curiosity. No, it's not an acronym. Yes, it is a name! But it's not a combination of ours. In fact, Andrew and Kai are brother-in-laws. Each married to 2 of 3 sisters. Richard's brother is married to the third. And Voila! There it is! We are all family by marriage and bond. Oh, and the name.... is the girl's maiden name! Brownie points

a: dark brown coloured body | thinnish tan head
a: molasses | tobacco | rich earth
f: grains | big nuts | pungent finish
t: ground coffee | strong licorice | astringent finish
o: strong throughout | quite bitter (from everything) | deep sugars and somehow, still not ready for drinking after five years...I have another one of these, but will wait even longer to see if it tempers over time!?!

Tap at mad mex. Nearly clear pale. Looks like thin lemonade. Interesting friendly mild fruity nose. First taste is not really an IPA. More like a mild APA with some fruit. Decent co2. Easy drinkin. In the middle IPA character tries to come thru but never makes a statement. I don't care for IPA, but I found this quite acceptable. Civilized finished.

Can. Murky gold with a white head. Nose is citrusy with hints of green vegetation. Flavor is tart, citrusy, kinda plain. Bitterish. Disappointing.

I open a 12 oz can acquired from Half Time and have it tilting inside of a Teku glass. Nice. A milky light yellow body, minimal skim of fully white foam. The nose is good. Orange peel, bread and hops too. The taste goes a bit different to the scent. Hops, oranges, crackers, malt, a spot of grapefruit. Rather decent imo.

Kind of your middle of the road, average fruited sour. Not as sweet as some of their sour offerings. Mango, passionfruit and guava. Pours golden with ok head. Tangy finish. Tap at Herndon location.

Tons of flavour in this, especially the initial smell. I guess this is the result of this thiolized yeast. I'm starting to recognize it. Grapefruit and mango, papaya. Big tropical fruit. Pours hazy orange without head or lacing. Where this falls off a bit is body and follow through. The ending is kind of just sweet, floral--almost gives me a Belgian IPA vibe there. Tap at Herndon taproom.

Has a doctor's office alcohol swab type smell. Some florals, fresh tangerine and peach, tropical fruit. Pours clear golden without much head. Light tangy finish. Initial smell is nice, but lacks crispness or bitterness. Tap at Herndon Aslin.

I lived a year in Japan and always hated those red bean candies. They always looked appetizing, the sweets, but always tasted the same. Anyway, there isn't much bean aroma evident in this, mostly just strawberry, but it's still not great. Pours mostly golden. Light tart finish. Tap at Herndon Aslin.

Fairly crisp, more so than kristallweizens usually are, or at least the limited few I've tried. I guess they are supposed to be crisper than hefes. Pours clear golden with decent head. Light wheat, a hint of lemon peel. Light bitter end. Tap at Herndon taproom.
