What's Your Name Mean?
"Want to play a game?" Used to be our response, but because of our growth and your support we're adding this link to ease your curiosity. No, it's not an acronym. Yes, it is a name! But it's not a combination of ours. In fact, Andrew and Kai are brother-in-laws. Each married to 2 of 3 sisters. Richard's brother is married to the third. And Voila! There it is! We are all family by marriage and bond. Oh, and the name.... is the girl's maiden name! Brownie points

Can poured into a snifter showing unfiltered hazy yellow with half a finger of quickly dissipating clean white foam. The nose shows durian, guava, and a lot of cannabis. Hints of malt on the ends. Literally smells like every brewery I’ve walked into. The palate is medium bodied and lightly carbonated with a slightly prickly mouthfeel. Moderately intense flavors of banana and guava with a light bitterness. Followed by a huge corn malt aftertaste on the back end.

32oz crowler pours a viscous, opaque black with some foamy, grey head. Nose is big with cocoa powder, molasses, Hershey’s syrup, burnt molasses, some dried fruits, prunes and figs, but mostly just chocolate milk. Not much booze noticeable in the nose. Flavor is quite different, huge with maple sugar and then check chocolate, some cinnamon too, huge lactose dried fruits, molasses. Finishes extremely full bodied, almost a little difficult to drink given the level of residual sugars. This drinks like it’s 18%, not 10%. Reminds me of a Bruery mess in that it’s an interesting concept, but poorly executed. Sorry guys.

Thanks Matthew for sharing the can! Poured into a taster showing hazy dull orange. The nose is extremely subtle with very little showing but hints of grapefruit and citrus. The palate is lightly carbonated and medium bodied. Very light flavors of grapefruit concentrate finishing on a light grapefruit bitterness. Not their strongest offering.

Thanks Matthew for sharing the can! Poured into a taster showing unfiltered hazy orange with sparse white lacing around the edges. The nose shows sweet citrus and notes of orange. Sweetness seems to be from the malts and melded very well. The palate is medium bodied and moderately carbonated. Flavors of lightly juicy orange perfectly melded with a light maltiness finished with a moderately sharp IPA bitterness that seems out of place. Still a very nice NE style IPA though.

Thanks Matt for sharing the bottle. Poured into a taster showing unfiltered dark orange peel with light foam. The nose shows dank cannabis and light papaya. The palate medium bodied and moderately carbonated. Flavors of grapefruit, orange, and papaya with a light grapefruit bitterness on the finish. Lightly sweet malt mixes well with the tropical fruit flavors. Very drinkable.

Crowler at the RateBeer DC Cider tasting. “Palate Cleanser” between all the ciders and meads. Poured a cloudy golden color with an off-white head. Aroma was juicy orange, lots of citrus - oak notes. Alcohol shines through on this one along with some light smooth vanilla notes on the finish. It’s quite good.
