What's Your Name Mean?
"Want to play a game?" Used to be our response, but because of our growth and your support we're adding this link to ease your curiosity. No, it's not an acronym. Yes, it is a name! But it's not a combination of ours. In fact, Andrew and Kai are brother-in-laws. Each married to 2 of 3 sisters. Richard's brother is married to the third. And Voila! There it is! We are all family by marriage and bond. Oh, and the name.... is the girl's maiden name! Brownie points

32oz growler from the brewery pours a very murky, nearly opaque pineapple gold with some lacing, creamy white head. Nose has some pineapple pulp, some mango, guava, some orange, a little malt, some honey comb. Flavor is thick with tropical fruit and honey, guava, Asian pear, pineapple, mango, light hand soap. Medium bodied, lightly chalky finish.

3oz pour at the brewery pours a murky deep amber brown with some clumpy, creamy, off white head. Nose has pine and orange and soap, some caramel, chewed gum, herbs. Flavor is solid though, old school barleywine, soap, caramel, grain, toffee, pine, spruce, herbs, light candy, some pear brandy, hints of booze. Sticky, bitter, fruity finish. Very nicely done.

3oz pour is a murky deep brown/black with some ringing beige head. Nose has malt, toast, raisin, fig, licorice. Flavor is this with licorice and molasses, a little rubber, some raisin, some very dark chocolate. Full bodied, sticky finish. Solid. Would take well to treatments too.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a dark brown color, maybe dark cola, but mostly black, much like the other dark offerings from them. Aroma was solid chocolate. Flavor was milk chocolate, semi-sweet cocoa, bakers chocolate. Chocolate cake. Fudge with chocolate dusting. Very tasty - alcohol is totally hidden here. Packs a punch.

Poured a hazy orange color with a very nice white finger-width white, creamy head. Aroma was a blast of mosaic hops. Lots of tropical juice, citrus, juicy fruit. Flavor is about the same - lots of citrus. So delicious. Almost sessionable. Very solid.

Draft at Aslin. Poured an incredibly hazy yellow color, at first I was worried that the beer was just the bottom of the keg, and that I just got a ton of yeast, but nope - it’s just hazy unfiltered. And delicious. I was surprised by the blast of tropical fruit notes - lots of mango, papaya. Tangerine? Fruity blast. Like drinking mango juice with a great orange juice finish, coupled with a little bit of resin buried in there. Wow. Growler of this went over well at the Super Bowl.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a caramel brown color, ruby notes, small off-white head. Aroma was smooth caramel notes, some light booze, but not that much for the alcohol being 12%. Flavor was smooth caramel, light sweet candi notes, some light toasted malts, some nutty notes. Alcohol is there, but is very well masked. Delicious.
