21st June 2021; monthly Beer Share in Chez Sophie. Just the four of us this time around. Cheers Mat for sharing the 33cl bottle (BB 22nd Feb 2022) with us. Cloudy pale yellow, wispy white head. Sour cucumber with salt crystals; not really my thing.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, June 21. Brought by me, thanks to trade with Rauchbierlover. Misty pale yellow appearance, thin white head. Super sour to taste, with additional cucumber, elderflower, salt and gherkins coming through. Interesting, different and quite flavourful for a Berlin-brewed berliner. Interesting to see it's a collaboration with Michelsberger Hotel, which I have fond memories of staying in when working in Berlin years ago.

Im Glas zeigt sich dieses Bier hellgelb mit relativ großen Kohlensäurebläschen, die sich ihren Weg rasch nach oben bahnen. Dort findet sich eine grob- bis mittelporige weiße Schaumkrone, die in kürzester Zeit in sich zusammenfällt. Die Aromen in der Nase halten sich sehr zurück, aber man kann doch leichte Nuancen von Gras und Heu, sowie eine leichte Würze wahrnehmen. Der Antrunk kommt sehr frisch, angenehm spritzig und hat eine leichte Malznote dabei. Im Mittelteil kommt dann ein durchaus schöner Körper zur Geltung. Wohl etwas voluminöser als ein typisches Industrie-Pils, aber dennoch eher auf der schlanken Seite. Am Gaumen macht sich ein angenehmer Mix aus Aromen breit. Leichtes getreidiges Malz, eine zarte Würze, grasige bis kräuterartige Hopfenaromen - viel mehr braucht es gar nicht! Richtig angenehm und sehr gut süffig. Im Abgang wird die Hopfenaromatik etwas interessanter. Grasig, heuig, kräuterartig, leicht fruchtig bis muskatig.

Berliner Berg Pils, Fläschchen von Ganicks Flaschbiershop. - Goldgelb, blank. - In der Nase aromatische aber pilsuntypisch milde, leicht verwaschene zitronige Herbe. - Antrunk weich und mild hellmalzig, etwas staubig, mit milder zitrusfruchtiger Hopfung: ein wenig Grapefruit, etwas Gras, kaum bitter. Zarte helle Malzsüße. Milder rezent. Im Abgang nur schwache Hopfenherbe. - Angenehmes, fein zitronig gehopftes Bierchen, dem aber die knackige Herbe eines richtigen Pilseners fehlt (ebenso wie dessen vier letzte Buchstaben). Pours to a very cloudy opaque dark brown. Nose is malty, coffee, almost cherry, cola. Mouth is nice, smooth, coffee, nicely carbonated, only slight bitterness. Nice lingering aftertaste, coffee. Easy drinking, cheerful, but good.

2020 version; hopvariety NOT specified Huge orangey head, dense, over veiled orange-copper beer; shards of lace. Fresh hops, hopoil, lupulin, floral, dried grains & straw, green herbs & hay; but also cardboard & caramel. Bitterish, fresh hops, pale and toasted malts, caramel; resin in the finish, becoming quite dry. Hopoil dominated MF, bit creamy from the head and spritzy carbonation. Medium bodied. Long dry hopoil aftertaste. Pretty good! Thanks to Joren for bringing, purchased at GeFeKo Berlin

75 cl bottle. Pours hazy yellow, white head. Aroma is fruity, bretty, milky and lingering zesty apples. Mellow and lingering fruity. Smooth fruity. Mild sour and mellow fruity.
